No possibility of PMLN-PPP alliance in next elections: Rana Sanaullah

Nawaz Sharif

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Punjab President, Rana Sanaullah, firmly quashed any speculations of an alliance with the People’s Party (PPP) in the forthcoming elections. While he hinted at the potential for limited seat adjustments, he emphasized that even such adjustments were highly unlikely.

In response to questions regarding the relationship between PML-N and PPP, Sanaullah acknowledged the PPP’s right to criticize his party, suggesting that PPP’s criticism was strategic and suited their political agenda.

Addressing concerns about the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Sanaullah affirmed that PTI, like any political entity, had the right to engage in politics. However, he urged PTI to distance itself from elements associated with the May 9 incidents, emphasizing the importance of responsible political conduct.

Looking ahead, Sanaullah indicated that decisions regarding potential alliances with other parties would be made by PML-N after the general elections. He also shared that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s return to Pakistan was scheduled for October 21, and he anticipated a warm and enthusiastic welcome for Sharif upon his arrival.
