No school holiday tomorrow in Lahore

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Mohsin Naqvi is set to convene a significant meeting today to address the escalating smog situation in Pubjab. The Cabinet Standing Committee on Anti-Smog is set to discuss the current state of smog during this session especially for most smog affected areas including Lahore.
Anticipated are pivotal measures and decisions, poised to be disclosed promptly following the conclusion of today’s meeting.
A diverse group of attendees, including Provincial Ministers, Chief Secretary, Inspector General of Police, environmental and health experts, secretaries, and officials, is expected to participate in the deliberations.
According to the latest information, some private schools in Lahore are expected to remain open tomorrow on Friday, November 30. However, an official notification for the Lahore district is still pending.
Furthermore, some schools ,educational institutes have already communicated to teachers and students that tomorrow will not be observed as a school holiday.
Contrastingly, Multan has confirmed that schools will remain open both on Friday and Saturday.

In a notification last week, the School Education Department, Government of Punjab, initially declared the closure of public schools in Punjab solely on Friday (24-11-2023) and Saturday (25-11-2023).
However, a recent notification issued on Thursday (today), November 30, by the Punjab government clarifies that all schools will now remain open throughout the entire week, from Monday to Saturday.
The latest government communication emphasized that any closure notifications from the School Education Department, Government of Punjab, will be promptly disseminated to all stakeholders by this office.
