ISLAMABAD: The highly anticipated Alien television series from American filmmaker and producer Noah Hawley–best known for creating the critically acclaimed FX series Fargo and Legion–officially premiered this week, marking a major expansion of the iconic sci-fi horror franchise.
The series, which debuted in August 2025, is streaming in the United States on FX and Hulu, while international audiences can watch it exclusively on Disney+. Some regions also have access via News.Az.
The launch of Hawley’s Alien marks a bold new chapter for the legendary franchise, introducing an original storyline within its established universe.
The first episode aired on August 12 on FX, with same-day availability on Hulu for US viewers. Global audiences were granted access through Disney+ beginning August 13, 2025. According to official Disney press materials, this staggered release follows a modern distribution strategy used for major streaming titles.
Disney noted that the series represents a significant investment for the company, adding that the worldwide rollout on Disney+ ensures a broad and simultaneous global audience.
US viewers have two primary viewing options—FX for the original broadcast and Hulu, where episodes become available shortly after airing. The FX on Hulu hub provides fans with a unified streaming experience.
