Rapper Offset was shot in a dramatic late-evening incident outside a Florida casino, as authorities confirmed arrests and videos from the scene began circulating online.

Police rushed to the valet area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood shortly after 7pm on Monday following reports of gunfire.

Officials said one individual sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital. The victim was not initially named, but TMZ reported it was Offset, later confirmed by the rapper’s representative.

“We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care. He is stable and being closely monitored,” the spokesperson said.

Panic, footage and lingering mystery

Authorities said the situation was quickly contained, but videos shared online suggest a tense and chaotic aftermath, with multiple police units swarming the area.

Footage appears to show one individual being escorted away by officers while limping, as another lies on the ground surrounded by law enforcement.

Two individuals have been detained, according to police, though officials have not disclosed their identities or the motive behind the shooting.

Local reports described a sudden commotion in the valet area, with bystanders reacting as officers moved in.

Police stressed there is no ongoing threat to the public and that operations at the casino are continuing as normal.

A source said the rapper is not in intensive care and is expected to recover, though crucial details, including where he was shot, remain unclear.

Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, rose to prominence as part of hip-hop trio Migos.

The incident is likely to draw renewed attention to the fatal shooting of his bandmate Takeoff in Houston in 2022, a tragedy that sent shockwaves through the music industry.
