Olivia Rodrigo may be preparing to launch her next music era after a mysterious mural in Los Angeles sent fans into a frenzy and sparked fresh speculation about new music.

A large purple mural featuring a stylised version of the singer’s initials appeared in the city earlier this week, quickly grabbing the attention of fans online. The artwork includes a swirled “OR” logo with a small heart at its centre, a design many believe signals the start of a new album rollout.

The colour choice has also fuelled the excitement. Purple has long been associated with Rodrigo’s branding, prompting fans to speculate that the mural could be an early teaser for her next project.

Soon after images of the mural began circulating online, the hashtag #OliviaIsComing started trending across social media as fans shared theories about what the singer might be planning next.

The speculation comes after Rodrigo’s longtime collaborator and producer Dan Nigro recently hinted that the pair were back in the studio. In a post on Instagram, Nigro shared a behind-the-scenes photo and suggested they were “finishing records”.

Rodrigo responded to the post in the comments, joking about “the palpable stress in this photo”, further fuelling excitement among fans.

While the singer has yet to officially confirm new music, the clues have sparked widespread anticipation online as fans wait for an announcement.

Rodrigo, who first shot to global fame with chart-topping hits such as ‘Drivers License’ and ‘Good 4 U’, has become one of the biggest pop stars of her generation.

Her second studio album Guts, released in 2023, debuted at number one in multiple countries and produced several hit singles, cementing her status as one of the most influential voices in modern pop.

With fans now dissecting every clue, the mysterious mural has many convinced that Rodrigo’s next musical chapter may be closer than expected.
