PARIS: Tom Cruise stunned audiences with a dramatic stunt at the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics.

In a display reminiscent of his “Mission Impossible” films, Cruise descended from the roof of the Stade de France to assist in the symbolic transfer of the Olympic flag to Los Angeles, the host city for the 2028 Olympics.

Tom Cruise stunt was a key highlight of the Paris Olympics closing ceremony. In a pre-recorded segment, the Hollywood superstar was shown painting the Hollywood sign in the colours of the Olympic rings.

He then appeared live at the stadium, arriving via motorcycle to take the Olympic flag and transport it to the airport. The dramatic sequence marked the transition from Paris to Los Angeles of the Olympics.

The closing ceremony featured a diverse lineup of performances, including rock bands, classical musicians, and a vibrant light show that transformed the Stade de France into a concert venue.

Nearly 75,000 spectators watched as athletes from various countries paraded into the stadium, receiving enthusiastic applause.

The event began with a musical tribute to Paris, featuring French singer Zaho de Sagazan performing “Sous le ciel de Paris.” The Olympic Flame was carried into the stadium by a torchbearer from the Louvre Museum.

The ceremony concluded with the formal handover of the Olympic flag to Los Angeles, setting the stage for the next Olympic Games.

In Los Angeles, the flag’s arrival was celebrated with performances by Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg, and Jay-Z at a beachfront gathering. The event ended with a fireworks display.
