Omar Ayub resigns as PTI secretary general

ISLAMABAD: Omar Ayub has resigned from his position as Secretary General of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

While announcing his resignation on the social media platform ‘X’ Ayub wrote, “I am most grateful to [former] PM Imran Khan sahib for accepting my resignation as Secretary General PTI to focus on my role as Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly of Pakistan.”

The opposition leader in the National Assembly also indicated that additional adjustments to the PTI’s organizational structure would be implemented in the upcoming days, following directives from the party’s founder.
