Pakistan’s security forces have intensified Operation Ghazab-Lil-Haq, targeting militant positions along the Pak-Afghan border, with the Badani post in Chitral reportedly destroyed during the latest operation, according to security sources.

Sources said the Pakistan Army carried out a coordinated strike against what it described as positions used by the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and elements linked with the Taliban along the adjacent Pak-Afghan border in Chitral.

According to security officials, the Badani post was targeted using a combination of small and heavy weapons. The operation also involved the use of quadcopters and other ground-based systems, resulting in the complete destruction of the post. Sources added that following what Pakistan termed unprovoked aggression, militants associated with the Afghan Taliban and “Fitna al-Khawarij” were forced into a retreat on multiple fronts.

Officials said Operation Ghazab-Lil-Haq remains ongoing and will continue until its operational objectives are fully achieved.

The escalation comes days after Pakistan’s security forces shot down two drones over the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, according to a statement from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Pakistan.

Authorities said the drones were linked to militants described as Fitna al-Khawarij and were neutralised using modern anti-drone technology. Officials reported that debris caused only minor damage and no casualties, while no military or critical infrastructure was affected.

Police had earlier reported a drone sighting in Islamabad’s Sector I-9, leading to temporary restrictions in the area as authorities assessed the situation.
