Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq: fresh airstrikes wave destroy ammunition storage, other key sites in Kabul

KABUL: Pakistan Air Forces, in their fresh wave of airstrikes carried out under Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq, targeted multiple military-related installations in the Afghan capital late Sunday night, security sources said.

The fresh wave of airstrikes targeted a major ammunition storage facility and other strategic infrastructure in Kabul, according to security sources.

Security sources said that these installation damages took place in two different key areas of the Afghan capital.

The strikes focused on locations believed to be linked with military logistics and technical support systems used by the Afghan Taliban forces.

Witnesses in parts of the city reported hearing loud explosions followed by towering flames rising from the targeted areas. Security officials said the intensity of the blasts and subsequent secondary detonations indicated the presence of a significant stockpile of explosives at the ammunition facility.

“The secondary explosions confirm that a large cache of munitions was stored at the location,” a security source said, adding that the strikes were carried out with precision to neutralise key operational assets.

Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid rejected the claims and alleged that civilian facilities had been targeted.

However, security sources dismissed the accusation, calling it “baseless and misleading,” and maintained that only military-related infrastructure was struck during the operation.

Officials said the airstrikes were part of a broader operational framework aimed at dismantling logistical and ammunition networks that support militant activities.

The operation also reportedly targeted additional sites in the eastern Afghan province of Nangarhar, where logistics and ammunition facilities were said to have been destroyed.

Security sources stressed that Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq would continue until its strategic objectives are achieved, signalling the possibility of further actions in the coming days.

Authorities have not yet released official casualty figures, and independent verification of the claims remains difficult due to restricted access to the targeted locations.
