LAHORE: Australia defeated Pakistan by 41 runs in the second One Day Internationa, levelling the three-match series 1–1 as the touring team produced a strong all-round performance here tonight.

After being asked to bat first, Australia posted 2319 in their 50 overs. The innings was anchored by solid contributions from Cameron Green, who scored 53 off 92 balls, Josh Inglis with 51 off 74 deliveries, and Matt Renshaw, who added a quick 43 off 43 balls.

For Pakistan, the bowlers kept things under control at key moments. The Greens Skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi led the attack with 3 wickets for 36 runs, while the newly entered Arafat Minhas impressed with 2 for 27 and Abrar Ahmed also picked up 2 for 34.

In response, Pakistan were bowled out for 190 in 44 overs despite a fighting 71 from Shadab Khan. Muhammad Ghazi Ghori contributed 37 runs, while Arafat Minhas added 33 but received little support as wickets kept falling.

Australia’s bowling attack proved decisive, with Nathan Ellis starring with 4 wickets for 33 runs. Matt Short took 3 for 36, while Tanveer Sangha chipped in with 1 wicket for 22 runs.

With this win, Australia bounced back strongly in the series, setting up a tense decider in the third and final ODI.
