LAHORE: Pakistan elected to field first against Australia in the second One Day International (ODI) as the Shaheens looked to build on their winning start to the three-match series.

Speaking at the toss, Pakistan captain Shaheen Shah Afridi said the hosts had retained the same playing XI that secured victory in the series opener, while Australia brought in leg-spinner Adam Zampa in place of fast bowler Billy Stanlake.

Pakistan lead the series 1-0 after defeating Australia by five wickets in the opening ODI in Rawalpindi.

In the first match, Australia were bowled out for 200 in 44.1 overs, with debutant Arafat Minhas starring with figures of 5-32.

Pakistan then comfortably chased down the target, reaching 202-5 in 42.3 overs. Babar Azam (69) and Ghazi Ghori (65) shared a crucial 127-run partnership to guide the hosts to victory with 45 balls to spare.
