DAMBULLA: Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan in the PAK vs SL last T20I after Pakistan managed 146 runs only in the rain-affected third match, levelling the series 1-1 in a closely contested encounter.

Chasing a revised target of 161 in 12 overs, Pakistan put up a spirited fight but ultimately fell short despite a brutal knock by Salman Ali Agha and a composed, classical debut innings from Khawaja Nafay. Their efforts, however, were not enough to take Pakistan over the line.

Earlier, Sri Lanka posted a competitive 160 for 6 after being asked to bat first. Persistent showers forced officials to shorten the match to 12 overs per side, increasing the pressure on both teams. Sri Lanka made effective use of the limited overs, with strong contributions from their middle order to build a challenging total.

The hosts’ disciplined bowling in the second innings ensured they defended their score successfully, sealing a crucial victory and drawing the series level.
