Shaheens started their innings by sending top-order batsmen Sahibzada Farhan (23 runs) and Saim Ayub (36 off 33) in the opening who batted positively. Both ended their 46-run partnership in 12 overs.
After Farhan was downed, Babar Azam came to the crease to continue the chase with Saim. Together, Saim and Babar pushed the team total to 78 in 13 overs before Saim was dismissed for 36.

Unbeaten Babar and middle order Usman Khan, who came in after Fakhar. At the time of victory, Babar remained unbeaten on 37 runs off 34 balls, while Usman scored 3 runs off 4 balls.
Sri Lanka Batting Line
Batting first, Sri Lanka were restricted to 114 all out in 19.1 overs, largely due to Pakistan’s relentless bowling attack.
During their innings, Kamil Mishara played a lone fighting innings with a brilliant 59 off 47, striking 6 fours and 2 sixes. No other Sri Lankan batter crossed 15, with regular wickets falling at crucial stages. Pakistan’s bowlers shone throughout the innings as Mohammad Nawaz picked up 3 important wickets, triggering Sri Lanka’s middle-order collapse. Shaheen Shah Afridi struck early and returned to finish with 2 wickets, maintaining pressure from both ends. Abrar Ahmed and Salman Mirza also chipped in with key breakthroughs. Sri Lanka slipped from a decent position at 98-3 to 114 all out, losing their last seven wickets for just 16 runs.
Earlier, Pakistan had won the toss and opted to field first at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, a decision that quickly proved effective. The bowlers maintained tight lines, restricting scoring opportunities and controlling the pace of the innings throughout.
