Pakistan cannot remain silent on incidents in Kashmir: PM Kakar

MUZAFFARABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has said that the hearts of Kashmiris and Pakistanis beat together.
Addressing the Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Kakar said that the people of Pakistan celebrate Kashmir Solidarity Day every year on February 5.
He said that Pakistan is an important party to the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, will continue to support Kashmiris in every way, and cannot remain silent on what is happening in occupied Kashmir.
The Acting Prime Minister said that our resolve for the Kashmir cause is strong, Pakistan and Kashmir are bound by inseparable ties, Azad Kashmir became free after great sacrifices and struggle, and the price paid by the Kashmiris is very high.
He said that occupied Kashmir has become an open prison, life has been made difficult for the Kashmiris, more than 96,000 Kashmiris have been martyred, thousands of Kashmiri women have been raped, Kashmiris are living in an atmosphere of fear and terror, and occupied Kashmir is a recognized disputed territory.
Kakar said that Quaid-e-Azam had declared Kashmir as the jugular vein of Pakistan, and the Kashmir issue has the highest priority in our foreign policy.
He said that the Kashmir issue should be resolved according to the Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiris, and we cannot be indifferent to what is happening in Kashmir.
