‘Pakistan delivered US’s proposal’, senior Iranian source say

Pakistan diplomacy

Pakistan has passed on a proposal from the United States to Iran, according to a senior Iranian official, as diplomatic efforts continue to find a way to end the ongoing conflict.

The official, speaking on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter, did not reveal details of the proposal or confirm whether it aligns with the reported 15-point framework put forward by Washington.

Efforts to initiate direct talks between Tehran and Washington are still in flux, with no agreement yet on where such negotiations could take place. The source indicated that both Pakistan and Turkey are being considered as potential venues for the discussions.

Turkey is also actively involved in facilitating diplomatic channels aimed at de-escalation, as regional powers intensify efforts to bring an end to the war.

Iran’s ambassador to Pakistan has also said that ‘friendly’ countries such as Pakistan are working to lay the groundwork for dialogue between Tehran and Washington and expressed hope these efforts can help end the war, AL Jazeera reported, quoting IRNA.
