WEB DESK: The Government of Pakistan has issued a stern condemnation following a series of missile and drone attacks launched by the Islamic Republic of Iran against energy infrastructure in the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia.
In an official statement released by the Foreign Office, Islamabad described the strikes as a “serious violation” of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, warning that such actions represent a dangerous escalation that threatens to destabilise an already volatile regional landscape.
Solidarity and condolences for the Kingdom
Expressing profound grief over the loss of life resulting from the strikes, the Pakistani government extended its deepest condolences to the bereaved families and the Saudi people.
Officials deplored the significant damage inflicted on vital energy facilities, which are central to global infrastructure.
Pakistan has reaffirmed its “unwavering support” for the security of the Kingdom, standing firmly alongside Riyadh during this period of heightened tension.
A call for restraint and international law
Beyond the immediate condemnation, Islamabad highlighted the broader implications of the assault, noting that it poses a grave threat to international peace and security.
The statement underscored the necessity of upholding international law to prevent further conflict. In a plea for regional de-escalation, Pakistan called for all parties to exercise maximum restraint, stressing that the path to stability lies in respecting national borders and adhering to established global legal frameworks.
