Pakistan finalises 262-member contingent for Asian Games

KARACHI: Pakistan’s delegation to the upcoming Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, will be slightly smaller than initially planned, after the country’s E-sports team withdrew from the competition.

The Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) had finalized a contingent of 262 athletes and officials, including 137 men and 53 women athletes, along with 72 team and contingent officials. However, with the E-sports team’s withdrawal, Pakistan will now compete in 24 sports, instead of 25.

“They withdrew after one of their members expressed inability to join them for Asian Games and following to that, they were unable to play a full team there,” a POA official said while talking to Geo.
