ISLAMABAD: Chief of the Pakistan Navy, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, welcomed the Commander of Azerbaijan Naval Forces during an official visit aimed at enhancing bilateral naval cooperation, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported.
A well-disciplined contingent of the Pakistan Navy presented a guard of honor to the distinguished guest, who also paid tribute at the martyrs’ memorial by laying a floral wreath. The meeting provided a platform to discuss matters of mutual interest, regional maritime security, and strategies to further strengthen collaboration in training and defense sectors.
Both naval leaders expressed their commitment to reinforcing the scope of bilateral defense relations. The Azerbaijan Naval Commander was also briefed on Pakistan Navy’s ongoing projects and initiatives. ISPR noted that longstanding fraternal relations between the two countries are rooted in maritime cooperation, and this visit is expected to further deepen defense and strategic ties.
The engagement underscores a shared focus on enhancing regional security and expanding avenues for cooperation between Pakistan and Azerbaijan in naval and defense affairs.
