Pakistan Navy successfully tests Taimoor cruise missile

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Navy has successfully conducted a live weapon firing of the Taimoor Air-Launched Cruise Missile, an indigenously developed anti-ship weapon system, demonstrating precision strike capability and operational readiness at extended ranges, officials said on Tuesday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the missile system validated the Pakistan Navy’s ability to detect, target and neutralise enemy sea-based threats, further enhancing its multi-dimensional strike capability.

The successful test marks a significant milestone in strengthening maritime defence and operational preparedness, the statement added.

The President, Prime Minister, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), and all Services Chiefs congratulated the scientists and engineers involved in the development of the system, terming it an important achievement in indigenous defence capability.
