WEB DESK: The Pakistan Navy has successfully conducted a live weapon firing of its modern FM-90 (N) ER air defence missile system in the North Arabian Sea, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday.
According to the military’s media wing, a Pakistan Navy warship accurately engaged and neutralised high-speed, highly manoeuvrable aerial targets during the exercise. The successful missile firing reaffirmed the navy’s high level of combat readiness and robust defensive capabilities.
Commander Pakistan Fleet observed the live firing while embarked at sea, ISPR said. He lauded the officers and sailors for their professional competence and operational preparedness, terming the exercise a clear demonstration of the navy’s effective training and preparedness to counter evolving aerial threats.
ISPR added that the successful test underscores the Pakistan Navy’s unwavering resolve to defend the country’s maritime frontiers and safeguard national maritime interests under all circumstances.
