At the Organisation of Islamic Countries (OIC) Executive Committee ministerial meeting in Jeddah, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar reiterated his country’s commitment to a fair, comprehensive, and lasting resolution of the Palestinian issue. He emphasised the importance of the OIC in promoting peace, development, and cooperation across the Muslim world.

Condemning Israeli Aggression

Dar strongly condemned Israel’s expansionist actions, saying they are unacceptable and pose a threat to global peace. He called on the international community to immediately take notice of Israel’s illegal measures and stressed the need to ensure the protection of Palestinian rights. The Foreign Minister described ongoing violations of the Gaza ceasefire as intolerable and called for an end to hostilities, highlighting the humanitarian crisis caused by Israeli military operations, which have resulted in significant loss of life, property, and the displacement of millions of Palestinian civilians.

Pakistan’s Commitment to Gaza and Regional Stability

Dar stated that Pakistan remains in contact with brotherly countries to help achieve a sustainable ceasefire in Gaza and condemned what he described as a “genocide” in the region. He reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state and vowed that Islamabad will continue its efforts to aid the restoration and rehabilitation of the people of Gaza. He warned that Israel’s expansionist ambitions have destabilised the entire region and stressed that global powers must ensure strict adherence to ceasefire agreements to prevent further escalation.
