Pakistan rules the gaming world; Arslan Ash wins Battle Arena Melbourne 15

MELBOURNE: After securing a place in the Tekken 8 final, now the world renowned Pakistani gamer Arslan Ash has bagged another title – championship of Battle Arena Melbourne 15.

Battle Arena Melbourne (BAM) is Tekken World Tour Master Event. The 15th installment of the tournament took place in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, and featured gaming heavyweights including Arslan Ash, Knee, Mulgold, KingReyJr, Shadow20z, OilKing and many more. Muhammad Farzeen, popularly known as Falcons Farzeen – who also qualified for the ESports World Cup yesterday – was also among the players in the BAM competitors.

The final match of the BAM tournament was an all-Pakistan affair with Ash edging Farzeen to bag the title in the end.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan’s esports star Ash is also all set for the Tekken 8 tournament at the 2025 Esports World Cup (EWC) in Riyadh, eyeing $1 million as the prize money.

The EWC is scheduled to be held from July 7 to August 24. More than 2,000 contenders, from over 200 clubs, will be battling for 25 esports titles. First of its kind, $70 million prize pool, makes the upcoming tournament largest in esports history.

The main Tekken 8 event will take place from August 14 to 16, with 32 top players competing for $1 million prize. Arslan Ash is a five-time Evolution Championship Series (EVO) champion, and has long been a dominant force in the global Tekken scene. Some of his many victories include EVO Japan 2019, EVO 2019, EVO Japan 2023, EVO 2023, and EVO 2024.
