Pakistan satellite sends first photo of the moon

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Satellite, iCube Qamar has sent first photo of moon after a successful landing.
The iCube Qamar had entered the moon’s orbit on Wednesday.
The satellite ICUBE-Q was developed by the Institute of Space Technology in collaboration with Pakistan’s national space agency SUPARCO and China’s Shanghai University SJTU.
ICUBE-Q orbiter carries two optical cameras to image the moon’s surface.

After successful testing and qualification, ICUBE-Q has been integrated with the Chang’e6 mission. Chang’E6 is the 6th in a series of lunar exploration missions of China.
The primary purpose of CubeSats is to facilitate technology development, scientific research, and educational initiatives in space exploration. These satellites are utilized for a wide range of missions, including Earth observations, astronomy, remote sensing, atmospheric research, communications, and technology demonstration.
