Pakistan, Saudi waive visa requirement for diplomatic, official passport holders

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have signed an agreement to waive visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, official and special passports of the two countries.

The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan signed the agreement.

In a post on X, Dar said finalising the agreement with his Saudi counterpart reflected the growing trust between the two countries.

He said the agreement would facilitate high-level contacts, official travel and institutional cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

The two foreign ministers also discussed bilateral relations, the regional situation and various areas of mutual cooperation.

Dar said the development would further strengthen the longstanding partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
