DHAKA, Bangladesh: Bangladesh were bowled out for 413 in their first innings on the second day of the Mirpur Test against Pakistan, after resuming from an overnight 301 for 4.
Skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto led the resistance with a fluent 101, while Mominul Haque contributed 91 and Mushfiqur Rahim added 71 to anchor the innings.
The lower order failed to build on the platform. Liton Das made 33, Mehidy Hasan Miraz scored 10, Taijul Islam managed 17, Ebadot Hossain was dismissed for a duck, while Taskin Ahmed added 28 before the innings folded.
For Pakistan, the bowling attack shared the spoils as Mohammad Abbas claimed a five-wicket haul, while Shaheen Shah Afridi took three wickets. Hasan Ali and Nauman Ali picked up one wicket each.
Bangladesh, who resumed strongly on day two, lost momentum in the middle and lower order as Pakistan’s seam attack maintained pressure throughout the innings.
