According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, a total of 468 flights have been scheduled to facilitate the journey over a 34-day period, concluding on May 21.

The operation will involve a consortium of carriers, including Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), AirBlue, Air Sial, and Saudia Airlines, operating from eight major cities across the country.

On the opening day, four flights are expected to depart for Madinah from Karachi, Lahore, Sialkot, and Multan.

Streamlined logistics and digital facilitation

To ensure a seamless experience for the 119,000 pilgrims travelling under the official government scheme comprising 67,230 men and 51,846 women the ministry has divided the operation into two phases.

For the first 15 days, flights will land exclusively in Madinah, with 186 flights dedicated to the holy city.

The second phase, focusing on Jeddah, is slated to begin on May 4 with 282 scheduled flights. Islamabad will see the highest volume of activity with 129 flights, followed closely by Karachi and Lahore.

Authorities have completed all biometric and visa procedures, and pilgrims are being encouraged to use the ‘Pak Hajj’ mobile application to stay updated on their specific flight schedules and accommodation details.
