ISLAMABAD: The central spokesperson of Afghan Taliban, while reacting to Pakistan’s announcement of eviction of ‘illegal immigrants’ from next month, has said that Pakistan should revisit its decision.
The caretaker Pakistani government on Tuesday ordered that all illegal immigrants, including 1.73 million Afghan nationals should leave the country by November 1 or face expulsion after that.
Interior minister Sarfraz Bugti revealed that 14 of 24 suicide bombings in the country in 2023 were carried out by Afghan nationals.
In a tweet the Afghan Taliban spokesperson Zaibullah said, “the treatment of Afghan refugees in Pakistan is unacceptable.

“The Pakistani side should reconsider its plan in this regard”, he said in the tweet
“They have no hand in Pakistan’s security problems. As long as the Afghan refugees leave Pakistan willingly and peacefully, they should tolerate the country”, the tweet said.
Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar chaired the meeting of the Apex Committee of National Action Plan, which was also attended by Chief of Army Staff Gen Syed Asim Munir, all cabinet members, provincial police chiefs and top officials of all relevant departs.
The apex committee agreed that all non-citizen residents living in Pakistan unlawfully are warned to leave the country by October 31, 2023.
