Pakistan successfully tests anti-ship ballistic missile in Arabian Sea

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Navy has successfully conducted a test of an indigenously developed anti-ship ballistic missile equipped with an advanced guidance system in the North Arabian Sea, according to an official statement.

The high-speed missile, launched from a naval vessel, accurately struck a target at a long range, demonstrating precision engagement capabilities, the navy said.

Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf witnessed the launch, along with scientists and engineers associated with the project.

The missile is equipped with a state-of-the-art guidance system and is capable of evading enemy defence systems while maintaining high accuracy against designated targets, the statement added.

The successful test reflects the Pakistan Navy’s growing technological capability and operational readiness.

President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chief of Defence Forces Syed Asim Munir and the services chiefs congratulated the participating units, scientists and engineers on the successful launch.
