Pakistan to export 143,000 tons of halal meat to Tajikistan

WEB DESK: Trade relations between Pakistan and Tajikistan have taken a historic step forward, driven by initiatives from the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). Pakistan is set to export 143,000 tons of halal meat to Tajikistan, with the shipment valued at USD14.5 million.
Officials say that streamlined trade facilitation measures are expected to increase bilateral trade to USD300 million, enhancing economic integration within the region.
In addition to trade, the two countries are strengthening educational collaboration. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) has been announced to facilitate the exchange of students and teachers, reflecting growing cooperation beyond commerce.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has also reached an agreement with Brazil to deepen collaboration in the livestock, dairy, and meat sectors, highlighting the country’s broader strategy to expand its presence in global agricultural markets.
This export deal marks a significant milestone in Pakistan’s trade diplomacy, underscoring the country’s commitment to fostering stronger regional and international economic partnerships.
