Pakistan to send 2,000 IT professionals to Japan

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Chaudhry Salik Hussain has announced that Pakistan will send 2,000 IT professionals to Japan.
During a media interaction at the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) headquarters, the minister highlighted the government’s efforts to support overseas Pakistanis, whom he referred to as ambassadors of the country. He emphasised that the government is facilitating overseas Pakistanis through various initiatives.
One such initiative includes the introduction of online facilities for overseas Pakistani for property transfer. Initially, he said, these services will be available to Pakistanis in the US, UK, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Italy, and Spain. The minister also committed to resolving property transfer complaints within 20 days.

He noted that many complaints from overseas Pakistanis are related to property transfer, and the new online system aims to address these issues efficiently.
He assured that overseas Pakistanis will be able to transfer property while residing abroad.
Furthermore, the minister mentioned that the mayor of New York has assured priority for Pakistanis in the paramedical field.
“Training will be provided to Pakistanis going abroad to better prepare them for their roles as representatives of the country,” he said.
He also revealed that annually, 700,000 to 800,000 Pakistanis travel abroad for various opportunities. However, he expressed concern about the approximately 20,000 Pakistanis currently imprisoned overseas, vowing to address their issues as well.
