Pakistan vows continued support for Palestinian cause, condemns Israeli atrocities


WEB DESK: On the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, Pakistan’s top leadership has reaffirmed the nation’s steadfast support for the Palestinian cause. Both President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, in their official messages, expressed an unwavering commitment to standing with the Palestinian people.

President Zardari stated that Pakistan’s support is grounded in universal principles of human dignity, fairness, and justice. He emphasised that the country has consistently condemned the atrocities committed by Israeli occupying forces in Gaza and has championed the Palestinian voice on all international platforms. He pledged that Pakistan would continue to provide comprehensive political, diplomatic, humanitarian, and moral support to its Palestinian brothers and sisters.

Echoing this sentiment, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the resilience of the Palestinian people, who have endured one of the most devastating tragedies of modern history. He described their courage as a testament to an indomitable human spirit fighting for a noble and just cause.

The Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s firm commitment to achieving a just, lasting, and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian question, anchored in the relevant United Nations Security Council and General Assembly resolutions. He affirmed that Pakistan stands in solidarity with the Palestinians in their legitimate struggle, their resilience, and their rightful aspirations for freedom, dignity, and peace.
