Pakistan women’s volleyball team ready for international debut

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan women’s volleyball team is poised to embark on its international beach volleyball debut next week as it prepares to compete in the Central Asian Women’s Beach Volleyball Championship in Bangladesh.
An official from the PVF has confirmed to that the Pakistan women’s volleyball team is scheduled to depart on Sunday to take part in the CAVA Women’s Beach Volleyball Championship.
“Yes, we are sending a team that will be comprised of two players, Azra Farooq, and Muqddas Bukhari, they will fly to Bangladesh tomorrow via Doha,” Chaudhary Yaqoob, the chairman of Pakistan Volleyball Federation told Geo News.
Mohammad Zahid will accompany the team as the coach. The event is scheduled to take place at Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh from the 13th to the 15th of September.

In addition to the host country, Bangladesh, Pakistan will be joined by teams from India, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan in this competition.
The PVF chairman further stated that the team had diligently participated in a preparatory camp in Islamabad alongside other members of the Pakistan women’s volleyball squad.
He expressed optimism for an improved performance by the Pakistani team in the championship.
