Pakistani pop-rock sensation Khudgharz unveils debut album

KARACHI/LAHORE: The Pakistani pop-rock sensation, Khudgharz, has unveiled its explosive debut album, “Hum Khudgharz,” with a bang. The band released a thrilling teaser video, featuring its members in sharp black suits performing in a desert, climaxing in a mesmerizing sandstorm that revealed the album’s tracklist.

“Hum Khudgharz” comprises a captivating collection of seven tracks, including the eponymous title track, “Hum Khudgharz,” the soul-stirring “Baksa,” the enchanting “Tu Gayi Kahaan,” the introspective “Sawaal,” the heartfelt “Yun Hum Mileyn,” the dreamy “Tujh Ko Jo Dekha,” and the mesmerizing “Truck Art.”

Asjad Khan leads as the chief songwriter and composer for five of these tracks, while “Yun Hum Mileyn” is a collaborative creation by Farrukh Siddiqui, Ahsan Khan, and Usaid Zahid. The dreamy “Tujh Ko Jo Dekha” comes to life with lyrics by Farrukh Siddiqui, Rohaan Taimuri, Ahsan Khan, and composition by Asjad Khan.

The album, a labor of love, was meticulously produced by Farman Ali and recorded at Khudgharz’s own home studio. The mixing expertise of Sherry Khattak graces five of the tracks, subsequently masterfully refined by Tom Waltz. The remaining gems, “Tu Gayi Kahaan” and “Yun Hum Mileyn,” received the magic touch of Farman Ali at his GWR Studio.

The visually striking album announcement video was masterfully crafted by director Bilal Atif Khan, renowned for his work as an assistant director to Nabeel Qureshi in “Quaid e Azam Zindabaad” and “Khel Khel Mein.” His recent directorial venture, Asim Azhar’s “Mein,” an OST on ARY Digital, has garnered acclaim. Abid Rizvi served as the producer and director of photography, with the band’s manager, Arsalan Ali, as the Executive Producer.

Khudgharz, a seven-member musical powerhouse, comprises Asjad Khan on vocals and guitars, Farrukh Siddiqui, Shayan Aslam, and Usaid Zahid on vocals, Ahsan Khan on vocals and keyboard, Afif Qamar on bass guitar, and Waqas Ahmed on drums. The band is expertly managed by Arsalan Ali.

The title track, “Hum Khudgharz,” is set to hit the airwaves on September 23, 2023. The music video for this track, a masterpiece, is directed and produced by the talented Abdul Wali Baloch, with executive production credits to Arsalan Ali.

Khudgharz has previously achieved a remarkable milestone as the most followed Pakistani band on YouTube, boasting a staggering 2.2 million subscribers. Their music has transcended borders, captivating audiences worldwide, especially in India, Bangladesh, the USA, and the UAE.
