WEB DESK: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the nominees for the Men’s Player of the Month award for November, featuring players from South Africa, Bangladesh and Pakistan.
South Africa’s Simon Harmer, Pakistan’s Mohammad Nawaz and Bangladesh’s Taijul Islam have been shortlisted for the honour.
Harmer took 17 wickets in South Africa’s historic Test series against India, where the Proteas secured their first series win in India in 25 years. He maintained an average of just 8.94 across the Kolkata and Guwahati Tests and earned the Player of the Series award with a standout 6/37 spell.
Taijul Islam claimed 13 wickets in Bangladesh’s 2-0 series victory over Ireland, playing a pivotal role as the left-arm spinner. He was also named Player of the Series.
Pakistan’s all-rounder Mohammad Nawaz scored 104 runs and took four wickets in the ODI tri-series, while also picking up 11 wickets and scoring 52 runs in T20Is. His 3/17 spell in the final against Sri Lanka proved decisive in Pakistan’s title win, earning him the Player of the Series accolade.
