Parvez Elahi taken into custody again

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Parvez Elahi was again taken into custody by the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Punjab on Saturday.

This action comes a day after an anti-terrorism court granted him bail in the Federal Judicial Complex (FJC) attack case.

The former chief minister of Punjab was transported to the judicial complex for a transitory remand. The court granted one-day remand. Additionally, the court has ordered a medical examination of Parvez Elahi before his transfer.

Officials have indicated that Parvez Elahi is expected to be taken to the ACE headquarters in Lahore later in the evening.

It has been noted that he faces four corruption cases.
