Pashteen meets Gandapur ahead of “Pashtun Grand Jirga”

PESHAWAR: Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) leader Manzoor Pashteen on Monday met with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur ahead of the upcoming “Pashtun Grand Jirga. Both the leaders discussed issues facing the province.

According to KP’s government spokesperson Barrister Saif, Pashteen discussed with the chief minister the upcoming “Pashtun Grand Jirga” scheduled for October 11. Barrister Saif said that the talks were held in his presence.

The spokesperson said that the two leaders discussed the issues related to the merged districts formerly known as FATA.

Barrister said that the major issues including political and the overall law-and-order situation in the province came under discussion.

During the meeting, the chief minister also discussed the discrimination being faced by the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Separately, Gandapur in a video message said that he was standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the people of KP.

He said that three Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf supporters were shot in Rawalpindi while the whereabouts of one was still unknown.

Gandapur said that “In the future, we would call a spade a spade if our people are targeted during peaceful protests”.
