Passport counters open on weekends to facilitate Hajj Pilgrims


ISLAMABAD: In a move aimed at providing convenience to Hajj pilgrims, passport delivery counters across the country will now operate on Saturdays and Sundays.

According to Mustafa Jamal Qazi, Director General of Passport Services, the extension of operating hours to weekends is intended to streamline the passport acquisition process for those planning to embark on the sacred journey of Hajj.

Starting from the 2nd of March until the 31st, passport delivery counters will be accessible to the public on weekends. This move is expected to ease the burden on applicants, allowing them more flexibility in obtaining their travel documents.

Furthermore, individuals seeking passport-related assistance can also avail themselves of services on public holidays. The Directorate General of Passport and Immigration has announced that on holidays, assistance will be available from 9am to1 pm.
