LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is currently negotiating with New Zealand Cricket (NZC) to organize a white-ball series in 2025.
According to Geo Super, due to the PCB’s plans to host a tri-series involving South Africa and New Zealand in February 2025, just before the ICC Champions Trophy, the white-ball series against New Zealand may be postponed.
This will mark Pakistan’s first hosting of a tri-series since 2004, as the last three-nation series held in the country involved Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe. Following the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which Pakistan will host for the first time ever, the Pakistani cricket team is scheduled to tour New Zealand.
NZC has indicated that details will be finalized within a week, paving the way for an official announcement. The tour to New Zealand will comprise three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).
