LAHORE: The Punjab Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a warning regarding the looming threat of drought in the province, attributed to the absence of winter rains.
The PDMA says that the risk of drought is escalating due to the deficiency in winter precipitation, coupled with an intense cold spell across the country.
According to the PDMA, January is on the verge of concluding without significant rainfall or snowfall following December, heightening various risks associated with dry and cold conditions.
