KARACHI: The price of gold in Pakistan has become a major focus for many as the new month begins. Today marks the first trading day of November 2025 for gold in the local market.
The All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported that the price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs1,600 per tola, bringing it down to Rs422,562 in the local market. In smaller units, 10 grams of 24-karat gold were traded at Rs362,278, down by Rs1,372.
The price of 10 grams of 22-karat gold also slipped by Rs1,257 to Rs332,100.
Analysts say the decline is linked to global trends. International gold prices fell by $16 per ounce, closing at $4,002, as stronger global currencies and cautious investor sentiment put pressure on the market.
Silver mirrored the downward trend. The price of 24-karat silver per tola dropped by Rs65 to Rs5,127, while 10 grams of silver sold for Rs4,395.
Previous gold rate
Gold prices in Pakistan increased on Friday in line with gains recorded in the international market. In the local market, the price of gold per tola reached Rs424,162 after rising by Rs5,300 during the day.
During October, the price of gold in Pakistan surged by Rs17,384 per tola, climbing from Rs406,778 at the beginning of the month.
Gold price in global market
In the international market on Friday, gold prices fell by 1 percent, weighed down by uncertainty over whether the US Federal Reserve will introduce another interest rate cut this year. Despite the drop, the metal remained on track for a third consecutive monthly gain.
Spot gold slipped 0.6 percent to $4,001.74 per ounce at 1:49 p.m. ET (1749 GMT) and was headed for a 3.7 percent rise for the month. Meanwhile, US gold futures for December delivery settled 0.5 percent lower at $3,996.5 per ounce.
