Percy Jackson and the Olympians set to debut on Disney+

CALIFORNIA: Disney+ has sent excitement soaring among fans with the announcement that the much-awaited series adaptation of Percy Jackson and the Olympians will premiere its first two episodes on December 20. Subsequent episodes will be released on a weekly basis.

Accompanying the announcement is a tantalizing new teaser for the show, which draws its inspiration from Rick Riordan’s immensely popular novels.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians takes viewers on a thrilling journey alongside a 12-year-old boy who learns of his demigod lineage and must navigate his newfound divine powers. The story takes a twist when he’s accused by Zeus of stealing his potent lightning bolt. With the help of his friends Grover and Annabeth, Percy embarks on an epic quest to recover the stolen artifact and restore balance to Olympus.

The show boasts a talented cast led by Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, and Aryan Simhadr. The series also features an impressive array of guest appearances, including Lin-Manuel Miranda, the late Lance Reddick, Megan Mullally, and more.

Previously, Riordan’s books inspired two films: Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010) and Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters (2013).
