Petrol, diesel prices cut further as govt announces fresh decrease

WEB DESK: The government has further reduced the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD), bringing the rates down by Rs2.20 and Rs1.50 per litre, respectively.

Under the latest revision, petrol will now cost Rs323.62 per litre, down from Rs325.82 per litre, while HSD has been reduced to Rs380.86 per litre from Rs382.36 per litre.

The Petroleum Division’s latest notification said the revised prices will remain in effect from tonight until new prices are announced on Monday.

The latest reduction comes as fuel prices remain significantly below their peaks recorded earlier this year.
