Petrol, diesel prices hiked as govt announces new rates

WEB DESK: The federal government on Monday evening announced a fresh hike in the prices of petrol and High Speed Diesel (HSD).

Under the new rates, petrol has become Rs5.75 per litre more expensive, while the price of diesel has increased by Rs6.47 per litre.

Following the increase, petrol will now be available at Rs331.20 per litre, while the price of High Speed Diesel has risen to Rs390.42 per litre.

The new prices come after a two-day gap, with the previous rates announced on Friday evening. The fresh rates will remain in effect until the government announces another revision.
