Petrol, diesel prices per litre hiked as govt announces fresh rates

WEB DESK: The federal government has approved an increase in the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel following recommendations by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).

According to a notification issued on Thursday, the price of petrol has been raised by 45 paisa per litre, while high-speed diesel has become 16 paisa more expensive.

Following the revised rates, petrol will now be available at Rs325.43 per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel has risen to Rs382.95 per litre.

The prices of both petrol and diesel per litre are being changed every day, the federal government has said.

The fresh rates were notified by OGRA following the federal government’s approval, with the increase reflecting changes in international oil prices.
