Petrol, diesel prices remain unchanged until July 27

WEB DESK: The Petroleum Division has clarified that the existing prices of petroleum products will remain unchanged on July 26 and 27.
According to a statement issued by the division, the price of high-speed diesel will continue at Rs383.46 per litre, while petrol (motor spirit) will remain available at Rs335.18 per litre.
The Petroleum Division said the decision to maintain prices was taken as international price indicators are not issued over the weekend.
The clarification was issued in response to a press release released on July 24, stating that the prices notified on July 25 will remain effective for July 26 and 27.
Following this, the price of kerosene oil will also remain unchanged at Rs301.14 per litre until July 27.
Earlier, petrol prices were increased by Rs3.66 per litre, while high-speed diesel was raised by Rs4.80 per litre.
The recent price adjustments came after the government introduced daily petroleum price revisions. On July 18, petrol prices were increased by Rs5.44 per litre and diesel by Rs31.05 per litre.
On July 21, petrol prices were reduced by Rs0.35 per litre, while diesel prices went up by Rs5.71 per litre. The following day, petrol was increased by Rs4.93 per litre and diesel by Rs7.15 per litre.
For July 23, petrol prices were raised by Rs6.39 per litre and diesel by Rs7.83 per litre, while on July 24, petrol increased by Rs4.40 per litre and diesel by Rs3.62 per litre.
