Petrol, diesel prices surge as govt announces new rates

WEB DESK: The federal government on late Monday evening announced an increase in the prices of petrol and diesel after the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) issued its latest notification on petroleum prices.

According to the notification, the price of petrol has been increased by 39 paisas per litre, while the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) has been raised by Rs2.40 per litre.

Following the increase, the price of petrol has risen to Rs341.98 per litre, while diesel will now cost Rs370.06 per litre.

The revised prices will take effect from midnight tonight and will remain in effect until the next scheduled revision.
