Petrol prices in Pakistan increased by Rs5, diesel by Rs7.32

The government has raised petroleum prices in Pakistan tonight, with petrol rates increased by Rs5 per litre and high-speed diesel by Rs7.32 per litre.

With the latest increase in the key petroleum products, petrol prices in Pakistan will now be available at Rs258.17 per litre, while the diesel price settled at Rs275.70 per litre.

The Petroleum Division has issued an official notification confirming the revised rates, which will remain in effect for the next fifteen days. Officials cite global oil market fluctuations and rising import costs as the main reasons behind the hike.

This price adjustment follows earlier increases in January, when high-speed diesel saw a Rs 11.30 per litre rise, while petrol prices remained unchanged. In a related development, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has also raised domestic LPG prices by Rs 6.37 per kilogram, bringing the new rate to Rs 75.21 per kilogram.

The recent increase is expected to affect transportation and everyday commodity costs, prompting consumers to manage fuel usage carefully.
