WEB DESK: The All Pakistan Petrol Pump Owners Association has announced an indefinite nationwide strike after talks with the government failed to conclude.
The association said petrol pumps across the country will remain closed from midnight on July 22 until their demands are addressed.
The decision was taken after negotiations between petrol pump owners and Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik ended without any agreement.
In a statement, the association said discussions regarding an increase in dealers’ profit margins and the daily revision of petroleum prices remained unsuccessful.
The association directed petrol pump owners nationwide to participate in the strike while maintaining unity and ensuring a peaceful protest.
It urged the government to take a positive and acceptable decision on their demands, warning that the strike would continue indefinitely until their concerns are resolved.
