Emphasising the commitment to the timely completion of the Ring Road project, Commissioner Chattha highlighted that more than 20 per cent of the physical work on the project has already been accomplished.
Commissioner Chattha outlined the future steps in the project, stating that following the finalisation of the traffic network design linking the ring road with the motorway, the focus would shift towards initiating work on the Thalian Interchange.
Additionally, he revealed that directives have been issued to ensure the expeditious completion of Swan Bridge by the relevant authorities.
Providing insights into the amenities planned for the ring road, Commissioner Chattha shared that the rest area under construction will be modelled after the successful Bhera rest area.

Highlighting the anticipated benefits, Commissioner Chattha underscored the employment opportunities that will emerge in proximity to residential areas upon the project’s completion.
Urging a vigilant approach, he instructed authorities to prioritise the quality of construction work, firmly warning against any compromises in this regard.
“Quality is paramount, and we will not compromise on it,” Commissioner Chattha asserted. He projected a noticeable improvement in Rawalpindi’s traffic flow after the successful completion of the Ring Road project, emphasising its positive impact on the city’s infrastructure.
