Plot owners in Margalla Enclave to get possession before Dec 31

ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has directed to complete the development work of Margalla Enclave and hand over the possession of the plots to the owners by December 31.

He issued these directives during his visit the project site of Margalla Enclave – a new joint venture of Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Defence Housing Authority (DHA).

He reviewed the ongoing development works and directed to complete 50 percent work by August 14 and 100 percent by December 31.

He urged the authorites to accelerated the pace of development work, suggesting to utilise all resources to complete the work before the year end.

He also directed to construct a new road for easy access to Margalla Enclave and said that the distance of the alternate route from the Prime Minister’s House to Margalla Enclave should be only five minutes.

Moreover, Mohsin Naqvi directed the immediate removal of encroachments on the road leading to Margalla Enclave.

He highlighted that citizens have shown keen interest in this project due to its excellent location. Along with the beautiful location, all standard and modern facilities will be provided to the dwellers of this housing scheme, he said, adding that a lake will also be built in the Margalla Enclave.

On the occasion, CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa and DHA project director gave a detailed briefing about the development work and sector planning.

While giving the briefing, the DHA Project Director apprised that Margalla Enclave is being established on 10,000 kanals in which plots of five marla, 10 marla and one kanal are being made available to the public.

The last date for submission of applications is February 14, he added.

It may be added here that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif endorsed a new package last week, aimed at enhancing the housing industry, which included a re-evaluation of the tax regime for the real estate sector.
