PM convenes federal cabinet meeting to review economy, security situation

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has convened a meeting of the federal cabinet on Tuesday to discuss key national issues, including the country’s economic, political and security situation, according to official sources.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 3pm at the Prime Minister’s House, where the cabinet is expected to deliberate on a range of matters of national importance.

Sources said the cabinet will receive a detailed briefing on the country’s security arrangements and review the overall law and order situation. The meeting comes amid continued government efforts to strengthen national security and address emerging challenges.

The cabinet is also expected to ratify decisions taken by various cabinet committees. In addition, members will consider summaries submitted by different ministries and divisions on a range of administrative and policy matters.

No official agenda has been released, but sources said discussions would focus on issues of national significance and the government’s policy priorities.
